Letter Writing Month Days 11 and 12

Yesterday was not the most successful as far as letter writing went. By the time I got a chance to write I was too tired, or tuckered as they used to say. I wrote nothing at all. Today I wrote two letters to make up for it. One of today's letters went to Matt who was kind enough to send me stamps of historic interest. They commemorate the first moon landing. Though this event happened in my lifetime I was just a wee infant and do not remember it.

I appreciate that the USPS issues so many commemorative stamps. They really are the philatelist's friend...or perhaps the friend of the philatelist's grand kids who will inherit a piece of history, some of which might be of significant monetary value one day.
