A Pleasant Surprise

had a pleasant surprise today. At a social gathering I introduced myself to a lady yet unknown to me and in just a minute of conversation I learned that she is my mail carrier. I felt I was meeting a celebrity. I was most impressed when I told her my name and she told me my address. Now this is a woman who knows her stuff, I thought. And to make her ready knowledge even more impressive, she isn't my regular carrier, though I will be on her route tomorrow.

Naturally, I had to inquire into the amount of letters she delivers. As I suspected, she delivers only a few, though quite a few cards pass through her hands around Christmas and Mother's Day. I hope she will see an increase in the future.

I am glad to now know a little bit about my mail carrier and tomorrow I will be especially excited to see her.
