Good Morning, World
Good morning, World. It seems a long time since we've met. As always I have enjoyed your letters. I've worked my way into a much more flexible schedule with more time for the things I enjoy. Oh how I love being mistress of my own time.
I wrote a letter this morning. I spoke of disliking crowds and liking margin. Letters give me a sense of margin, of having space around the page. Perhaps its the slow pace of the conversation contributes to this. How differently I feel about letters than I do about emails. A letter feels like an invitation whereas an email feels like a demand. A letter says, "Sit down for a while and converse." An email says, "Read me quickly, you have thirty-eight more to go."
It's true; a letter is better.
