The Revolutionary Vision of Jane Austen

I came across a most interesting essay on the writings of Jane Austen that I believe you Janites out there will appreciate. It is called The Revolutionary Vision of Jane Austen. This year marks the bicentennial of Austen's death and I encourage you to read one of her books in honor of the occasion. 

Those of you who enjoy the screen adaptations of her novels but haven't actually read them can receive this as a challenge. By accepting this challenge you will meet the lady herself. You may find her to be different than expected but you will not be disappointed.
