Benefits of Writing

Jaci Conry of the Boston Globe has written an article on the benefits of children writing letters. Not only does letter writing teach children the mechanics of writing it also teaches them delayed gratification as well as to pause and consider the artistry of communication. In today's digital world we all need that!

  1. Thank you for sharing this Sonja, I so agree with it. I'm not sure they even teach letter writing in school anymore. I remember having to learn how to write a personal letter and a business one. So far, my son hasn't had to do any of that. I make sure he writes thank you notes, another important letter writing lesson.
